Augustine Die & Mold, Inc. Among the Region’s First to Achieve AS9100 Rev. D Certification

Somerset, PA – November 2017 – Augustine Die & Mold, Inc. (ADM) is pleased to announce that it has achieved AS9100 Rev. D certification for its Somerset, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant. AS9100 Rev. D is the most recent Quality Management System (QMS) standard for the aviation, space, and defense industry. AS9100 is based on the ISO 9001 quality management system and supported by the International Aerospace Quality Group.

ADM offers precision machining, specializing in aerospace and defense applications in addition to design, manufacturing, and repair services of tooling in the plastics industry. ADM is one of the region’s first to attain the AS9100 Rev. D certification after an extensive analysis of its Quality Systems by BSI Group America, one of the industry’s premiere certification bodies.

2015 GOLD Distinguished Safety Award

This award is based on the injury and illness data reported in the annual OSHA 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, and the national Total Recordable Cases (TRC) rate average for the corresponding North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code.

Augustine Plastics, Inc. reaches 3,000+ days without a loss-time accident.

Augustine Plastics, Inc. (API) announces that it has reached a company milestone of 3,000+ days without an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) loss-time accident.

To date, there has been no recordable/loss time injuries since API’s 2008 inception.

“Employee safety is paramount,” said API’s Operation Manager Randy Zimmerman. “We focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and training, to maintain a sophisticated, employee engaged safety program.” “We are very thrilled with this significant milestone,” stated James Brown, President/CEO of API. “It takes a company wide effort across all of the employees to achieve a safe and productive work place…and we are proud of our team’s commitment to workplace safety.”

According to estimates from the Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII) conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 3.0 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses reported by private industry employers in 2014 occurred at a rate of 3.2 cases per 100 equivalent full-time workers.
